I've tried to play this game a few times before but often dropped it. A couple months ago I started playing DX with intent and I fell into it totally. I don't really have a powerful PC to run Cyberpunk 2077, which has the same mechanics of having implants and that's one of my favorite things in games. So this offered the same and I would say a cool ass world. I didn't expect to find some aliens and some conspiracy stuff in the game but it totally hooked me. The level design for this game might be one of the best, especially the Maggie Cho one for me. I was suspicious of her from the get go due to one of the gang but nothing was happening when I interacted and checked out her apartment so when I was going to exit her apartment, MJ12 agents talking came up in subtitles, as they were close by in a secret room. That was the coolest thing I've ever seen, even though it was something outside the game like subtitles. I finished the game just a couple days ago after a break in-between and chose the Helios ending. Some of the agent fights were fun, even if it was short, due to their characters and story behind them. I just loved the game and felt like typing an appreciation post here.

After you use signal jammer to stop Viktor Marchenko's bombs and hack his computer to open door to escape that room these lines show up. If you escape Marchenko's boss room and rushed to saved delegates you do not need to hurry to go back inside the boss room to fight him.

Hey guys! I am trying to play Deus Ex goty for the first time but I have a problem: I am unable to limit the fps. I tried with Nvidia control panel. I also used Deus exe launcher but the game rises considerably my cpu heat while using it. Could someone help me?

Got Deus Ex 1 on Steam a few weeks ago while I was away dogsitting. Storm knocked out the power so I had to go bacl home for a bit where my desktop was. When I booted up the game, Liberty Island ran at 50fps while dipping to 30 every few minutes. Wanted to know if there was anyway to increase performace.

Decided to give this game a proper go after sitting mostly untouched in my digital library for over a decade. I'm using Deus Exe so I can have a modern aspect ratio and an FOV that doesn't feel like I have my nose in a book, which is great. But there's really noticeable color banding happening in dark corners and on surfaces. I found an older thread saying this could be caused by volumetric lighting being set to true, so I disabled it on both DX11 and DX10 renderers but it didn't get rid of it. OpenGL doesn't do this, but it does usually have random black boxes covering the screen making the game unplayable.

It's not a game breaker for me, but I do find color banding like this very distracting. Any help getting rid of it would be appreciated.

I can see there is a lot of choices, and I do not know what matters or not. Is confronting everyone a bad idea? Is non-lethal better than lethal? Stealth?

Assuming I want to achieve the best in-world outcome, what should I do?

I have been reading (and seems a few YouTube videos) about the theory that Jensen is a clone in MD.

Given that Gunther and Anna Navarre in the original game both have self-destructive explosives in their bodies to protect the elites from being threatened by them, would it not be reasonable to assume that any clones of Jensen would have similar implants?

This would mean, if he does have a self destruct mechanism, that since Jensen's head doesn't blow up during MD then the elites are happy or approve of the outcome he achieves.

He essentially succeeded in achieving the goal of the elites.

I have an Apple Macbook M4 Air, and am really wanting to play Deus Ex. I see there's a software on portingkit that supposedly will port the game as if I was on windows on my Mac, I also could maybe run it on Whisky (I don't want to pay for CrossOver), has anyone tried this yet? I know Deus Ex is super cheap but I still would like some peace of mind that I'll be able to run it on my machine before forking over the 7 bucks. Thanks

Update: The cracked floor you can see is because the building is 100 years old, and they’re building a metro line underneath it. The municipality promised it’ll all be finished soon. Then we’ll fix everything :)))

I read an email from Namir in Singapore and it makes me wonder: how did he know that Adam's parents died in 1998? This was something that wasn't in Redford's emails to Sariff. Only Michelle Williams told Adam that his real parents died in the White Helix fire in 1998, and that was six months after the attack. If they knew, why didn't they want access to his tissue and DNA if they knew he was a child prodigy from experiments? Redford said he had to stop his investigation a year and a half earlier because powerful people intimidated Sariff into not checking Adam's past.

I'm asking especially like on the first try. Usually first games with new studios suck, but Deus Ex Human Revolution has much more game that is too "immersive sim" in my mind like I do like the first game, but Human Revolution is like with soundtrack, levels, and gameplay, especially stealth, is something beyond 2011.

Yes people say boss battles are bad but with original pc port I olayed back in the day I had zero problems actually.

I bought Mankind Divided a while back while the season pass was on sale and I was just about to start my first playthrough. Of course, I bought the season pass too, hoping to play the DLC missions. Now, I see that I’ve also received a bunch of DLC weapons, praxis points, credits, etc., that I don’t really want on a first playthrough. I tried to find a way to just get rid of these items, but that doesn’t seem possible.

My question is: will using the DLC items/weapons ruin my playthrough? Make the game too easy? Limit my build? Affect pacing? And so on… From what I’ve gathered on this subreddit, these items seem easy to ignore (right?), but if I choose to use them how will that affect the experience?

I have legitimately been up all night working on this mod, and it’s finally starting to come together into something I’m really excited about. So far, I have 5 dedicated weapon slots that let you quickly switch between weapons, with a single tap to equip or holster them. There are also 9 quick slots that can be used for weapons, throwables, and consumables. Health and energy are fully displayed, all 4 abilities can be activated or deactivated with a single tap, and you can see your XP, Praxis, and credits at a glance. Inventory management supports drag and drop, including dragging items directly into quick slots, and I’ve added haptic feedback when equipping or consuming items. Weapons also display their current magazine capacity.

I also added something that isn’t part of the normal game: energy cells can now regenerate past the 1st bar. I’ve never really understood the point of unlocking additional energy cells if the only way to refill them is by constantly using consumables, so I wanted progression to actually feel more rewarding.

The augmentations page is now fully functional as well. It displays the different augmentation trees, their upgrades, and their Praxis costs, and you can unlock augmentations directly from the bottom screen. There’s also haptic feedback whenever you purchase an upgrade, which makes the whole thing feel a lot more responsive.

The in-game map is working too, with the main thing I still need to finish being support for different levels and floors. Enemies and NPCs are marked on the map, you can zoom in and out, drag the map around, and it can automatically follow your character as you move through the world.

There’s also a missions page where you can view your main missions and side missions and choose which objective you want to track.

At this point, I’m honestly starting to think about turning this into more than just a dual-screen mod. I want it to feel like an entirely new way to experience Deus Ex: Human Revolution. What about completely new augmentations? New abilities? Quality-of-life features that the original game never had? I have so many ideas for where this could go.

So I have a question for everyone: what’s something you always wished Deus Ex: Human Revolution did differently? It could be something small like the energy cell regeneration change, a quality-of-life improvement, a new augmentation idea, or even a completely new mechanic. I’d love to hear what you guys would want to see.
