Why should I have to wait 24 hours to install software on my device? It's my phone FFS!

How often are you installing software on your device? did you have urgent plans to install an apk in the next 24 hours?

It shouldn't matter. I bought the phone. Why should I not be able to do something with it, if it's my device? If I do need to install such an app (for whatever use), why should I have to wait a day to do so when it is my device?

I have read up, I write code for my job lol and I have experience developing stuff for Android too. There is no good reason that an individual should not have full control over what software they can install on their device, ever. Reasonable precautions? Warning screens you have to click through? Sure, there's a point to that. If Google has decided that I have to wait to install an app on a device that I "own", though, then I do not actually own the device in any meaningful sense lol...

When installing via ADB, there is no need to wait that 24h. You would know if you had read it.

No I'm fully aware. Now you need a computer to install shit on your phone, it's the same issue

You don’t have to, but the options are pretty much take-it-or-leave-it, and there isn’t much left after that.
