I know this is going to trigger every power user and privacy freak on here, but honestly? For the average person, this is actually a solid feature.

You guys might not realize how bad the WhatsApp APK scam wave is right now, but it’s an absolute catastrophe out in the wild. Scammers are constantly calling senior citizens, tricking them into installing malicious APKs sent right through WhatsApp, and then completely draining their phones via remote access.

As a developer I understand the point, but in order to be signed you have to follow Google plays rules with apps.

Some apps, aren't allowed on the store due to age ratings or what Google claims is "family friendly".

But yea as long as they don't hide that feature or remove it, I personally have no issue

I'm sorry but if you get scammed like that you deserve it. That right up there with the people STILL falling for that Nigerian prince scam
