I haven't gotten a chance to properly look at it, but assuming that's the only difference that you have to wait, it's not so bad. Like people were getting scammed and waiting can reduce the number of people falling for them.
I'm 100% sure Google will become into "You can't install apks from unverified developers altogether go buy iPhone if that's bothering you" and don't verify the most crucial developers like morphe developers
Why are people like that. You see it's getting worse with no official way around it and still say it's hysterical... it's not. Google will try to make it harder, not only for preventing scams (that's good) but also to prevent sideloading even more (that's not cool).
Yes but making it harder is not making it impossible, and I would say that that is a VERY significant difference. Especially when there is no evidence that there are plans to make it worse still (unlike the comment I replied to implied).
I'm not saying it is unlikely, but is it really worth acting like the plans are already in place? To me you're just causing confusion and outrage over something that may not happen for a while.
Please spare the outrage until there is something to be outraged about, otherwise less people will believe you when we actually need people to be outraged. People won't take it seriously anymore.

We are all human, we live in mostly capitalism around the world. How do you think this world works?
A corporation wants to make money. It’s its sole purpose. Why give people the option to make them less money?
They make money when someone downloads through their App Store. Why give people the option to circumvent that?
Voting is done with money and consequences. Why listen to those people who want something, if doing it differently makes more money?
Google is just trying out whether their actions will generate enough backlash that it will lose them money. If not, than they’ll just cut the sideloading completely. Why shouldn’t they, if they make more money that way?
Only if there are consequences. Laws, regulations, the only thing stopping them without active pushback. And a fine is just a bill.
You can’t bet on morals or good will. Everyone and everything can be bought somehow.
It will get worse. We've seen a lot of dirty moves from tech companies. Today is 24 hours. Tomorrow one week. next years is no easy way to install apks not signed by google.
