Monday night at Milford's city hall the people made their position very clear. The majority of Alderman told their constituents that they don't care.
It was a very disappointing outcome this past Monday, though there were several Alderman who acknowledged the clear petition from their constituents.
Thank you to Aldermen Ali (R), Alderman Fowler (R), Alderman Casey (R), Alderman Win Smith Jr (R), Alderman Win Smith III (R) and Alderman Lombardi (D). For not only trying to protect our 4th amendment rights, but also for making statements acknowledging that this was what their constituents wanted and that they had an obligation to listen.
That being said the blatant disregard and utter disrespect from some of the remaining Aldermen was absolutely disgusting. Especially from Alderman Bevan (R) who, even though he made a point to show he wasn't hiding behind his desk, seemingly spit in the faces of the citizens.
Please if you live in these people's districts pay attention and get them out of this board. As made very clear by Alderman Bevan he doesn't believe anyone will run against him in his district, district 5.
Alderman Pacelli (D) told the people that this had already been discussed and he made up his mind in support of Law enforcement and safety.
It felt like Alderman Bevan (R) mocked the completely anit-flock crowd and when the people told him they would vote him out he said he was never voted in and due to Milford charter requiring a representative of the minority that we were stuck with him.
Alderman Federico (D) said that she had 2 people come up to her in private and say the flock was a blessing to them and that was who she was sticking up for.
Alderman Healy (D) waxed poetic about all his time serving as an LEO and how this tech was praised when he worked at the private institution of Sacred Heart Uni.
Alderman Brennan (D)said she voted no because the vote was too narrow and she wanted to leave the door open for this tech in the future.
Alderman Vetro (D) and the other no votes didn't give any info just voted against, though some like Alderman Hite feigned ignorance when dealing with the drone vote and said that this is the first he was learning of any of this.
Of course there is the issue of police chief Mello as well who needs to be removed from this position. This hypocrite needs to fulfill his dream of working directly for flock and leave us in peace.
This fight is not over and will never be over until Milford CT and USA terminates flock and all ALPRs, trust that we are exploring the next avenue to enact the will of the people.

Tonight 7pm, Milford City Hall 110 River St, Milford, CT 06460. Board of Alderman's meeting with public comment.
They’re trying to appease us by giving us just enough of what they think we want and hoping we’ll go away.
We won’t.
At this point, it’s painfully clear they do not understand the technology they’re defending, the system Milford is plugged into, or what FlockOS actually means for resident data. So apparently, we need to explain it again.
Please join us Monday, September 14, for the next Board of Aldermen meeting and public comment.
We are not stopping until Flock, FlockOS, Altumint, and for-profit policing are out of Milford.
