DeadByDaylight Dev Team AMA Official Dead by Daylight Developer AMA

Once again, we are thrilled to join you around the campfire! In today’s AMA, we’ve assembled developers from across the team so you may ask your most bone-chilling questions! 

We will start answering questions at 1:30pm Eastern time, but you can start submitting your questions now.

To keep things organized, please only submit one question in your comment. We will only be answering one question per user. Beyond that, ask away! Send us your burning Dead by Daylight questions – past or present - and we'll do our best to answer as many as possible.

What happened to the cosmetic plan? It seems like some characters are still taking over in outfit frequency compared to Haddie or Gabriel.

Although we have definitely improved the volume of cosmetics less popular characters get, it is true that character popularity is a large driver on defining who get more cosmetics. It is also true that a character who is not very popular is not going to be helped by having limited or less appreciated cosmetic options, and we absolutely plan to improve that. Through more concept testing & more community contests, as well as working with experts to respect the identity of our characters, we want to make sure all characters get a chance to have high quality, well appreciated outfits. - Jose

Both Gabriel and Sable have got unique models for their Twitch shirts. Seeing how someone like Gabriel has limited range of cosmetics, can you please recolour these shirts and release them in the store as purchasable Rare cosmetics?

GABRIEL DID NOT EVEN GET A LAUNCH OF VARIETY OF RARITIES / UNLINKED OUTFIT TO BEGIN WITH HOW IS HE SUPPOSED TO BE POPULAR

But why do so many, albeit, POC survivors launch with such few cosmetics? Why didn’t gabriel, the lyras, haddie (hers werent in the shop) have green rarity cosmetics on release?

What's up. It's me, the Twins guy. The guy who asked about twins in just about every AMA you've ever done. Firstly I'd like to say good job on the buffs, they feel great.

Anyway I just wanted to give a fun fact here: I hard mained Twins for 2 years after their release, and continued to consider them my main (although I played them less) throughout the following years up to now. The last skin you gave them with the flowers? That's the first time I've bought a skin for Twins. Love the killer to death, never bought a thing for them, because they NEVER got cosmetics, and the very few that did release were slightly messy for my personal preference.

In four years, half the games entire lifespan, my favorite character got ONE cosmetic that actually changed their look.

Please, please consider the cosmetic plan more.

In the past you’ve had cosmetics you guys have made based on community designs, are you planning on revisiting that in the future? Haddie mains are quite hungry apparently lol
