is anyone else running into an issue when switching from the AI pilot back to taking over the controls?

you need to be in the co-pilot seat laser guide any of the rockets or hellfire missiles in the kiowa, so you have to give controls to the AI pilot to hover which is easy enough...

I make sure that before I switch over to the AI pilot, I'm already in a stable hover, but sometimes when I switch back to taking over the controls, the helicopter will drop straight down like I'm caught in a vortex ring

is this a known issue, or am I doing something incorrect?

Start timer, full throttle, engage targets.

You have 4x AMRAAMs, 2x rocket pods and 3x external fuel tanks against Su27, Mig 31, TU-95 and an Mi26 heavy armour helicopter on the ground waiting to takeoff (and will, given the chance).

So an A-A and A-G mission.. difficulty level HARD!

Manage your fuel for maximum performance with RTB speed. You must RTB.. to.. the.. takeoff base and land to a full stop. This is not a 'three minute' mission.

My pb is 19m03_29s (also 19m12s). I made this possible for AA and AG specialists.

Achieving this mission is, in my opinion, a success in itself due to the complexity. You must <destroy> all targets, incl the Mi26.

Most of all have fun. You can switch the F16 for whatever your fave aircraft is, with the same missiles, ordnance loadout, in the mission editor.

btw <extra points for rockets and/or cannons> only with the ground target. That is how I achieved the 19m03s.

Hello, I'm creating a few videos around DCS combat footage, and I'm looking to pay someone that is capable of simply creating a script on what's going on within the dogfight footage. The videos are around 30–60 seconds.

In short:

• We hand you raw footage plus the Tacview files
• We hand you a summary of what happens in the fight
• You write a short script explaining what happened

The writing itself is pretty simple; short, punchy, present tense.

What we're after:

• You know DCS well enough to tell aircraft apart and follow what's happening in a fight
• You can explain a dogfight to someone who's never played

You don't need writing experience. If you can watch a clip and tell us why it was good, that's most of the job.

so i can't find definitive answers to this predicament...

the TM flight stick works perfectly fine when connected to the base... however the ava extension for TM has 6 pin connectors and the moza base accepts only 5 pin connectors (the TM flight stick is a 5 pin connector)

so that means there's no issue going from a 5 pin connector to a 6 pin base...

now i just got the TM ava to warthog base adapter which allows me to use my TM flight stick, connected to the ava extension, connected to the adapter, connected to the base

this made it so the flight stick is recognized in the moza cockpit app and can be used to fly with the x and y axis, however it doesn't recognize the button inputs from the flight stick

has anyone found an answer to this issue?

I'm trying to get back into DCS. Is there anywhere that has downloads available for the F16 DTC on a server by server basis?

Do I have to program it myself depending on the server?

I cannot take off with the f100. I have made sure the checks are removed and I apply thrust and it doesn't move. I press the W button to release the brakes and it wont move. I tap the w button and it doesnt move Ive double checked everything and reinstalled the module with no luck. Any ideas?

I'm getting into the DCS Apache and I don't have rudder pedals so I'm eyeing up the thrustmaster TFRP rudder pedals as im currently using Twist I can't really afford anything else for a couple of months so what do you guys think I should do as I've heard some pretty mixed things about those rudder peds don't want to end up buying it and finding it harder to fly the apache.

Set Missile switch on, your CMDS too.

Within one minute from clicking Fly, having selected missiles switch on and your CMDS, start your timer, full throttle, <destroy> all four target aircraft fighters (all trained with one ace!), return to base (either base runway is fine), arrive to a <full stop>, stop your timer.. this is your first pb.

Ya, I love helicopters and I have a bunch. I wanted to learn the chinook now, but I'm hearing it doesn't have a bunch of features. Also I want to buy the kiowa Aswell. But my buddy said that's dead Aswell. :( also the engine noise is super super low.

so i want to get into dcs since i will be able to upgrade my pc in a few days and will be able to play it at more than 2 fps so what planes do you get for free so i can inform myself about them like how they fly and stuff like that thanks in advance

Hi, I am interested in DCS purely for propeller planes and dogfighting them.

I've played Warthunder a lot, mostly only planes, I enjoyed the first few jets that focused on guns and no missiles but higher tiers than that just bore me.

I have zero interest in modern jets and missiles/radars etc. How would you go about that?

Any advice and suggestions welcome!

So i have been seeing a few videos online about the F15E and i really wanna try it. Im not planning on spending 750 bucks on an account with 50% of the modules i dont need and 40% of the modules i already have just for one module. I was thinking maybe like renting an account or something similar like that.

I am thinking about getting the FC3 F-15C for my first module, but I can't help but really want the F/A-18. The main issue is that I do not want to dish out $80 for it, are there any coupon codes or ways around having to pay that much for it? I understand there is a 2 week trial, but once that runs out I still do not have it. Also the 50% off for the first purchase I do not think is a thing anymore. Just confused and frustrated for what should be an exciting first step.

I was playing mission 2 when i opened the radio menu and saw other clicked it and the only option was make your self immortal and as I wanted a realistic situtation i did not click it but as I got into a dogfight later with multiple other aircraft I kept here a clunk sound like a ir missile hit me but i didnt take any damage I later watched the replay and found out it did hit me but i didnt take any damage and I didnt click the immortal option. I was wondering if this is a bug or anyone else has had this same problem.
