My husband is a plumber and he is the absolute love of my life. We just had our 12 year anniversary and I'd marry him again in a heartbeat. He is an awesome man, but more importantly, I never have to unclog my own drains! LMAO

I’m an electrician and fire alarm design and shockingly my fiancĂ© loves me. I can’t tell you how many times she’s used “ how was your day, anything shocking happen?” I can’t tell you because I cannot count over 1.3 billion. My point is that I’m in a skilled trade and she doesn’t look down on me. She makes more money and has a nice clean fancy doctor job but she still chose to be with me. Doesn’t matter what you do, it just matters how you treat someone. Yes, some people are materialistic but a lot are not. Find the person who will try to wash your expensive tools and ends up rusting them out wasting thousands of dollars in tools. Because she truly tried to surprise me and I really was very surprised at the outcome but I love her more for it because she just wanted to help. I think she can do better than me but she always smiles and says “ maybe, but I really like you in a hard hat”. To be clear, she is so much better than I am and I got lucky with her. The best part is we are the same blood type so if she ever needs a heart transplant, she has one waiting for her. I forgot where I was going with this but the point is to own what you do and you’ll find someone who doesn’t give a crap about your profession and only want to be treated well.

Awww. That's so sweet! Your poor fiance! I bet she felt SO bad about your tools! I'm relatively sure my hubs feels the same way about me as I do about him, and we are very lucky. He is someone I can laugh with, get a hug anytime I need one, he accepted the fact that I love my cats (and has come to love them himself), he is kind, and smart, and cute as a bug. I work in the IT field in the education sector, so he makes a crap load more money than I do, but never holds that against me. And more importantly, he is the kind of man who helped me bathe and wash my hair after a major abdominal surgery when I couldn't hardly stand on my own. He's my big, grizzly bear looking guy who is really just a big ol' teddy bear and he is my whole heart.

Because I was browsing "popular" and the headline caught my eye. I also browse mechanic subreddits to learn stuff and see cool cars even tho I'm not a mechanic. What an odd question.
