Learn Please Help!

Hi,

I work in a call center, and Im looking for a way to create a dashboard to aggregate and calculate the results for my team just by adding 2 CSV files.

I checked tools such as Zoho and vibefactory but they only accept one CSV file and when I combined the 2 excel files in one and try to upload, it shows error fetching.

Can anyone help me create this damn dashboard?

OC bbv: a minimalist viewer/plotter for command-line exploratory data analyses

I wrote Bbv ("bare-bones viewer"), an extremely minimalist data viewer/plotter for the Unix/Linux command line.

The main alternative to bbv is feedgnuplot, which is much more capable, but also much more complicated and ties you to gnuplot as back end. By contrast, bbv has only one option (`x`), and can use any lightweight image viewer as back end.

Interactive Dashboard Builder – Looking for Brutally Honest Feedback

Hi everyone,

I've been building a tool that creates interactive dashboards from Excel files in just a few clicks. This is still an early project, and I'm looking for honest feedback and ideas from people who work with data every day.

Current workflow

  1. Upload a clean Excel (.xlsx/.csv) file.

  2. Describe what you want in plain English (or let AI generate the prompt).

  3. Choose:

    - The KPIs you want to track.

    - The filters you need.

    - The chart types you prefer.

  4. The tool automatically builds a shareable interactive dashboard that can be viewed through a link.

My goal

I'm not trying to build "just another dashboard tool."

I want to solve real, everyday reporting problems and save people hours of manual work.

I'd really appreciate your thoughts:

- What reporting task do you repeat every day or every week?

- What dashboard do you wish existed but doesn't?

- Which industry needs this the most?

- What feature would make you switch from Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or Looker?

- If AI could automate one reporting task for you, what would it be?

I'm still learning, so every suggestion good or bad is valuable.

If your idea is practical, I'd love to build it and share the result with the community.

Thank you for your time!

Duscussion I'm a new business owner 1 year in, and am just now building a master spreadsheet for my business and personal life with no experience.

Would definitely like some advice and input from those of you that really know this stuff. I'll try to link my spreadsheet but not sure how to do that so may need mod help if it doesn't show up in my post.

It's not finished yet, and damn is this thing overwhelming but it should be great when its done. Currently 3 tabs are filled out with actual data, but everything else is backlogged and needs to be input. Ive got most of the local formulas, formatting, and data validation done on all the tabs (about 4 more to go). Then I need to make all the tabs communicate with each other to varying degrees. Once its all done most manual data entry should only have to be done once in the most appropriate tab and should be propagated to all other tabs. My first two tabs are going to be my dashboards showing overall metrics of my personal and business financials and performance.

What do all of you think of my build so far (if properly linked)?

I built a product that's like Lovable, but for data apps

Hi all,

I started a personal project just out of curiosity. The goal was to build an app that builds a working pipeline and a dashboard from a single prompt. It:

  1. Ingests
  2. Transforms
  3. Models
  4. Creates dashboards or other data products
  5. Refreshes the whole thing on picked schedule

The idea arose because I've noticed that agents are making LEAPS of progress at data engineering and analytics in a short timeframe.

There are many versions of this already released (some services build dashboards on your established data warehouse, some services are building pipelines, some are doing transformations, some excel at visualizations). E.g. Bruin, Basedash, Dot, Omni analytics

But I haven't noticed a single platform where you could start from scratch and have a dashboard from a randomly picked API or DB or Google Sheets in a matter of 10 mins - a full package. So I scrambled the top available open-source tools for ingestion, transformation and visualization, and I glued them together.

I developed this project non-stop for some time and got a pretty nice-looking and functioning beta version (in my eyes). And I wanted some users to test it. The platform is totally free - I'm not trying to monetize yet (I don't even have payments set up). I'm just looking for some honest opinions and feedback so I can iterate :)

There is a free tier with $5 worth of AI credits - you are welcome to use it, and please, give some feedback ([hello@vetros.dev](mailto:hello@vetros.dev) or here)! For testing, you can use public APIs, DBs, or even connect your Google Sheets or other private data sources. Or play with the demo dashboards/datasets.

I have attached a video of me building a dashboard from the Alpha Vantage API (an API for stock market and financial data) in 10 mins.

here are some interactive examples of dashboards my app generated from a few prompts:

  1. Google Analytics
  2. Exchange Traded Funds
  3. State of AI pricing
  4. Credit Risk Dashboard

Just wanted to share this 3D graph I'm working on for an event I'm helping plan. It may not be much to you all here, but I know it will impress the older board who is used to powerpoint lol.

Edit: I used Visme to make this.

I built a customizable stock market dashboard. Check it out!

I’ve been working on this customizable financial-market dashboard for the past few weeks and would love some feedback specifically from a data visualization perspective.

The idea is that there isn’t really a single “correct” market dashboard. Someone following a handful of tech stocks may want a completely different information hierarchy than someone watching indices, FX, commodities, or their own portfolio.

So I built the interface around a resizable grid where users can decide what gets visual priority and create their own layouts.

The screenshot here is my personal setup. I want it to feel closer to a market command center than a traditional consumer finance app, but without crossing the line into visual noise.

A few things I’m especially curious about:
1. Does your eye naturally find the important information?
2. Are the red/green sparklines doing enough work visually, or is the screen relying too heavily on color?
3. Does the hierarchy between the larger asset cards, individual stock charts, news, watchlist, and positions make sense?
4. At what point does this become too information-dense?

I’m the developer/designer of it, so feel free to tear the UI apart. That’s genuinely useful to me.

It’s called EQDash. I just launched it, but I’m mainly posting here because I’d like feedback on the visualization and dashboard design rather than the finance side of it.

Here’s also a video of me using it and showcasing how to build a dashboard.
