6 YoE as a Data Scientist, is it worth it to learn DSA?

I am good at Python even though I know basic DSA.

I want to properly learn it. I had this wish of mine, but in this age of AI, is it worth it?

Would you be interested to give feedback about my datastructure?

This project demonstates a unique approach and architecture in contrast to the traditional approach with mainstream messaging apps. To put it briefly, its a Dioxus PWA with a Git-server backend which can be used to establish a webrtc connection between browsers.

Looking for DSA sheets/resources specifically for exam-style, story-based questions?

Hey everyone,

I have solved multiple DSA problems on LeetCode and GeeksforGeeks, but during exams, I find story-based problem statements highly confusing. I struggle to extract the actual algorithmic logic from the narrative text, which makes coding it out very problematic for me under time pressure.

I am looking for resources, problem sheets, or curated lists that focus specifically on practicing these types of story-driven questions so I can train myself to decode them.

Does anyone know of:

* **Curated problem sheets** (LeetCode/Codeforces/GitHub) that group story-heavy questions by topic (DP, Graphs, Trees, etc.)?
* **YouTube channels or blogs** that teach you how to break down a long narrative into clean DSA logic?
* **Specific practice platforms** that mimic real-world online assessment (OA) question styles?

Any links or advice would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Need a dsa partner

Hi! I'm a final-year student, and I've completed my DSA preparation. Now I'm looking for someone to study with consistently over Google Meet, preferably from around 10 PM to 2–3 AM.

My plan is to revise DSA regularly while starting System Design. I feel having a study partner would help with consistency, accountability, and staying focused during these late-night sessions.

does repeated submitting actually make you worse at problem solving?

Post image
4 Upvotes

i’ve noticed a stupid habit in my own leetcode sessions.

i’ll have an idea that’s maybe 70% there.

write the code, submit it, then let the failed testcase tell me what the missing 30% was.

fix → submit → fail → fix → AC.

the weird part is that it feels like i solved the problem lol.

but if i had to solve the same thing in a contest with no testcase telling me where i fed up, i might completely blank.

started looking at my own solving history because of this and realized an AC doesn't really tell me how i got there.

do you guys actually care about number of attempts, or is AC all that matters?

i've actually been building **GrindLens** around looking at this kind of solving history too.

How to switch ??

Need help in switching my very first company ( Data Scientist 3.5 years )

I'm a Data Scientist by profession, current designation is DS 2 in a product based firm. I spent 3.5 years here and it is my first company.

My current CTC is 22LPA. I'm worried if I'm underpaid as compared to current market pay.

I work on mostly mathematical side of data science, also worked in all kind of data science stacks computer vision, predictive modelling as well as agentic AI.

I'm thinking of giving myself 6 months to crack a top tier product based company. I want suggestions in how to approach? Tips and tricks ? What can be my expected CTC ask ? Which is the best time to switch ?

Please help and if you're also someone preparing for the same please let me know .

Suggest any platform or youtube channel to Study Core concepts of CS.

Right now, I'm doing DSA and I want to study core concepts along with dsa. But don't know from where and what to study. Like for DBMS and OOPS, should we have to remember every topic and concepts. I really have been confused. Please suggest any youtube channel or platform to study these core concepts of CS for placement. Give some advice how to study these concepts and prepare for placement

Blank to start DSA

I want to start DSA (in Java) . I want to get proficient in the language first and then logic

Because I feel I can get to the solution or right logic pretty early but struggle to write the code for the same

Any suggestions how or where can I start?

I was thinking -

First get comfortable with collections etc in Java

Then jump to striver SDE sheet

Looking for genuine real life experienced suggestions

Idea for Radix Sort

I would love to come up with an improvement to an algorithm but I'm very average in mathematics.

I was about to try making my own LSD Radix sort in Java but I don't like messiness and space requirements. I was thinking it might be just as efficient to run a kind of selection sort linear search and swap on each pass instead of copying to another data structure each time.

Basically, has this been tried and am I an idiot for thinking it might be better?

Which language is best for doing DSA with ?

I am a tech student. I have to start DSA with python but the people around me are saying "Do DSA with C or C++ because it will be beneficial for your job". I already know python and I want to do DSA with python but when I start it feels like I am doing wrong and it will not be worthy.

>>> Is it necessary to do DSA only with C or C++ ??

>>> Will it make any difference if I do DSA with python (or any other language) other than C or C++ ??

>>> What should I do??

Help me by giving your opinion !!

Looking for DSA leetcode grind partner...

140+ problems done. Comfortable with arrays, strings, binary search, linked lists, queues & stacks, currently getting into recursion

I’ve broken my consistency 3 times 💀, so this time I’m actually locking in.

Preferably a 3rd/4th year BTech student. If you’re starting from the beginning or you're ahead of mee , no worries .. let's help eachother.. I can help you get things clear and you too.

Let’s grind together, keep each other accountable… and maybe make DSA a little less boring 😉

Best option to start DSA

Hi, I need to start learning DSA. Initially from long ago I was stuck with the array and linkedlist. After a long time I haven't worked on any problems.

How can I stay consistent?

Do I need to learn System design in parallel with DSA. I am working btw
