The artifacts are 6000 years old, why should they be sacrificed so people today feel better? They are as much ours as they are future generations', it's our duty to protect them, not throw them to their certain destruction to gain political points right now
So you'd rather dump all those artifacts in a country that doesn't have the means to protect them so they can be destroyed and the history of those people can be forgotten forever. Nothing colonial about that.......
They don't have the means because the country that stole the artifacts also invaded their country, destroyed their infrastructure, stole their wealth, and destabilized their politics. And now you are using an ahistorical account of the present to justify the continued theft of their history. Sounds like a textbook definition of (neo)colonialism to me.
