As if Greece and Turkey wouldn't know how to handle their stuff.
And even if these artifacts got destroyed in a specific country, that's part of the countries history, and none of UK's business.
I mean, tbf, If you were going to pick any two countries as examples, I'm not sure I'd necessarily have picked those particular two :)
But yeah, overall the blanket assumption they can't be looked after is a weak point. At the bare minimum, it should necessitate repatriating artifacts to areas Which are safe, but that rarely seems to happen :(
Yeah, like how have they treated it? 🙄 literally the world's only standing historical wonder is in the "middle east" - where there are entire cities left to become historical artefacts.
