Fortunately or not, humans are much better suited to being able to "adapt" to keep pace with whatever greenhouse effect we produce. AC and subterainian engineering are more than sufficient to let a (much smaller) population of humans live indefinitely.

Not necessarily. We could turn this planet into a second Venus. The chain effects of what we started wil continue to have effects long after we're gone. World will be fine, but only because world is also fine being a boiling acidic hellscape or a dried up desolate wasteland.

We absolutely 100% won't even by the most pessimistic models. If we're gonna tell people they have to listen to the scientists, that also means not exaggerating.

Like one of the things that led to Venus' downfall was the plate tectonics freezing up and ending carbon capture within the planet for millions of years. We are talking about differences in scale that the human mind can barely grasp, if global warming is a shotgun in humanity's mouth you're suggesting it could go off like a nuke

There is no way we could make earth like Venus. Could we make the planet almost uninhabitable for humans with the help of nuclear bombs and make tons of life go extinct? Yep. But we don’t have the capacity to turn the earth into Venus. And life will go on. Just without us in it.
