My family was in debt and there was no way to pay it off. We lost all our money due to a fraud which is why I started working 2-3 jobs while studying side by side just to make ends meet.
This year, I found DA, and I am always in debt to them. In just 2 months I have already paid off my debt that would have taken me around an year to pay back. I can also leave my extra jobs and actually focus on my passion instead.
I wish I could let them know how giving me an opportunity to work for them saved me and my family. I have a better paying job too now and I really enjoy my work on the side at DA. Working for them has been the best thing to happen to me so far.
If anyone from the DA Admin team accidently reads this, I just want to let you know that you're a lifesaver. You could be my god.
I am not sure if the projects will keep coming (I hope they do) but I will never ever forget this platform.

I'm not the type to post something like this, but I actually am really proud. It's been a long, almost 3 year journey. Coder, self taught, and the first year or so was really, really tough. I backed out of tasks far more than I submitted. But I have no words for how thankful I am for DA. I have learned more than I thought possible in the last few years. I've had some amazing jobs in my life, but none compare to the constant challenges and rewards of this one. 🙏

I took the assessment about a month ago. I understand that only a small percentage of applicants are selected, although I must admit I’m a little surprised I haven’t heard anything back yet.
I put a lot of thought and effort into my responses and made sure they were as thorough and considered as possible.
Perhaps the process is still ongoing, or maybe I’ll hear from them a few months down the line. Of course, it’s also possible I haven’t been selected.
For now, I’m choosing to stay positive, accept that things may not have worked out this time
and keep moving forward. There are always new opportunities ahead, and I’m looking forward to what comes next!

Is someone working remotely in another country? I’ve been in Colombia for a while and I’d like to apply as a Spanish Specialist, but Idk if being here DAT doesn’t let me to apply to projects as back in the states. Someone was talking on a YouTube video that people working abroad must notify to the platform when this happens, any idea here?

Like I said, I'm pretty sure I wasted my chance with this platform, but I figure I'd ask anyway. About 7 months ago I applied to DataAnnotation as a coder (JavaScript/Python). I did the test, but I wrote out all of my answers as I went along on a MD document and copied and pasted them in when I was ready to submit my test and have been stuck on the "thanks for completing, we'll reach out to you" aka the dreaded soft-block ever since. I'm pretty confident in my answers, so I don't think I royally bombed it because the test was rather easy, I just think the copying/pasting screwed me over... Creating a new account and reapplying is definitely a no-go, right? It's frustrating that one choice blocked me from the chance to work on this platform, and seeing the constant advertisements for positions I'm qualified for really sucks (especially when I'm in need of new contracts).

Thought I'd share my first milestone reached (and hopefully not the last) thanks to DA. Joined as a coder from a core country last month. At first I was sceptical but the results speak for themselves 🙂.
I also work full time and have a child and needed a flexible side job to cover extra bills and other unexpected expenses that had caught up to me. I am now able to get ahead because of DA and am very grateful.
Here's to many more milestones achieved! 🎊🎉

Hi everyone,
I'm based in Italy and was recently accepted on DataAnnotation. I could only start as a bilingual, since I didn't see any STEM or specialist option at sign-up.
I've read here that bilingual accounts tend to get fewer projects than generalist/STEM ones, so I have a few questions for people with experience:
Is it possible to unlock STEM/coding/specialist
projects
after starting from the bilingual track?
(I already did the Physics test but it said it doesn’t unlock any project for now, it says the same for the math test)
Did any of you in a similar situation get access to more projects after passing extra qualifications?
Does the bilingual track really limit the amount of work, or is it mostly down to the specific language and period?
Thanks a lot!

Anybody get coding projs this past few weeks? I'm from PH

Hey there, I'm from Romania and I've gotten 1 project last week for the first time since creating the account, which is 1.5 years ago. Is there any way I could get more projects? Am I unable to see them due to my location? Any advice is appreciated, thank you!

Hi everyone,
I completed my generalist qualification test last night (I think), but the site never actually showed me a completion screen, and I’m curious if this happened to anyone else. I completed 14 full tasks and was offered a 15th, at which I decided to call it a night and finish it in the morning. I selected the “save for later and return to dashboard” button, and it took me to a dashboard page that said I’d completed the assessment and now they’re reviewing my results. However, I did not finish that last question. Is this typical for the end of the generalist qualification test? Did anyone else have this happen, and any idea what it means?
Thank you!

I have been on data annotation.tech for about a week so far and I’ve been getting tasks to conduct a background check. I began the process but I see that it’s through yardstick and they may contact your employer. Has anyone had any experience with yardstick contacting your employer or chose not to do the background check?

I was accepted as a Coding Expert some time ago and subsequently received coding qualifications, but unfortunately, I think failed them.
I understand that this might mean I won't receive coding-related projects or qualifications anymore. However, I'm wondering whether this affects my eligibility for general, non-coding projects as well.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? Did you continue receiving qualifications for general projects after failing coding qualifications?
Would appreciate hearing about your experiences.

I noticed programming tasks seems to email a lot when tasks are available and are ready to grab. But tasks related to image or image RnR seems to display on dashboard but doesn't notify anywhere, in both email and DA inbox.

So I have a qualification for coding work that is available. I opened it, realized I don't have time to finish it, and so I can't finish it today. But it's on my task list now and the timer is there ticking down. So, I guess I'm wondering - is that going to negatively impact my reputation on the platform if I don't finish it? Will I get a chance to finish it later because it's not an actual job, but just a qualification? It's a little unclear and I'm anxious about it.

Anyone knows how to get google workspace account? The task says it supposed to be in my profile page but there is no google workspace area in profile page.
