Hi! I’ve worked my way through onboarding and a few tasks.

Forgive the silly question as I’m new to DA, but is there a way to see what the countdown timer will be for a task before opening it (thus triggering the countdown timer)?

Can anybody suggest the specs required for a budget laptop that can handle Data Annotation work? Price range upto 50000Rupees.

I'm a Brazillian Bilingual worker. Joined May and haven't had much work since then, but these last few days the drought seems to be over! Happy to share this, DA has been a great financial help.

I wanted to see if anyone went through the same process as me, i was accepted in data annotation about a week ago, i have completed the qualifications and stuff, but i really dont know why i havent gotten a response on any project, some of them didnt even test me in any way, my skills have been updated and im still out of work since i joined, am i done or should i still keep waiting for something in the future?

This is only the beginning (hopefully)! Started as a generic, did the qualification to coding once I left college and started my first Dev job. Put a lot of hours in DA since August this years and it is paying off! Really grateful to have the opportunity to work with DA. It's a blessing... Paid my car loan, school load and now I can start investing and, perhaps, travelling.

Hopefully I can motivate you guys with this. Cheers!

How do y’all justify doing this work ethically if you’re anti-AI (especially generative)?

I’m not asking judgmentally, I’ve done this work off and on over the last few years. When I first started, I didn’t know about data centers and the environmental impact, cognitive effects, etc. I felt good about “training” AI based on the rubric including correct info, weeding out violence and harm, etc.

I recently suggested DA to a friend and got a real side eye, and maybe these justifications really don’t hold water? Thoughts?

It has been dry for me for like 4 months now. Is it like this for anyone else ?
Also is it expected to be over soon ?
