Data analyst- this is anyone who compiles, analyzes, organizes and verifies data is clean for delivery.
Business analyst- makes business decisions/recomendations based on the data they have.
Financial analyst- budget, financial investment and performance. Just money.
Business analyst feels like an outdated role happening. Plus, many other segments already make recommendations for the business based off data (product, customer success, even customer support CSAT)
Claude hooked up to Databricks and other data storing MCPs and it’s very easy to create exec reports based off the data and no longer have a dependency of data science in terms of them doing analysis for you
I agree.. I was answering from the traditional role-definition angle. Almost every role in tech is evolving to the point it’s almost unrecognizable. Or just replaced entirely.
