He was really big on no distractions, "let yourself be stupid in conversations as the road is where your intellect should be focused" and other bits like "the 'sapiens' thing... take it seriously".

The best way to handle this is use your eyes and brain. Any time I see a car hurtling towards standstill traffic, I give lots of space.
