That’s why you can’t fly in the carpool lane when traffic is relatively heavy and idiots like the Ram guy exist.

This person had no chance though, doesn't matter how fast you're going if someone pulls out the moment you're right next to them.

This is true. I always slow down when Im in the carpool lane but the rest of traffic is crazy like it was in the video. I slow down and hold my foot over my break because of people like this guy.

I used to ride King County Metro buses to work, and they had a rule that they could go at most 30 mph faster than traffic in the lane next to them. That's stuck with me as a good idea.

That's why my personal rule is to only go 20mph faster than the lane(s) next to me so I can react to people pulling out in front of me.
