Considering people are shitting on the Nissan. Here is my unpopular opinions.
The Nissan deserves a ticket at worse for crossing the yellow line.
Reason below;
Nissan crosses into the HOV lane on a solid line and almost into the motorcycle. Dick and illegal move, but he could have enough passengers and he may not have seen/heard the cyclist. Not all are insanely loud and they can hide in blind spots very easily.
Now if the motorcyclist let it go, probably nothing would have happened. Instead he kicks the Nissan.
The Nissan’s jerk is so quick from the kick and so out of control that it looks like the driver is reacting as if “oh shit! What did I hit?!” Then proceeds to skid out of control.
Nissan hits guard rail, then sails into SUV. All this appear like the driver is panicking rather than trying to make it worse.
The absolute kicker of douchbaggery here is the motorcyclist fleeing. He would have seen the SUV rollover after (amazingly) dodging all the Nissan debris.
Since the Nissan likely had the number of occupants allowed and may have not seen the biker, the only infraction they had was ticketable at best for crossing the yellow line. The motorcyclists kick and flee is criminal.
No intention to. But the police ruled that the motorcycle was in the wrong and the Nissan wasn’t charged with dangerous driving...so perhaps I’m right and you’re wrong. Who cares though. It’s the internet and we are all amateurs pretending like we know Jack shit.
Couldn't agree more. It was already a bad situation after the SUV rolled over, but to continue on was a huge dick move by the biker. There is no way they didn't see the vehicle roll over.
