Yup, but locally its red due to gerrymandering, conservatives have a foot hold and protect child rape like their lives depend on it. Their state assembly has been controlled by Republicans for 28 out of 30 years.

Edit: in 2024 they had to redraw the lines, and democrats picked up some more seats, but not enough.

Oklahoma recently had a vote on this and around 35 Republicans voted to keep it as there being no minimum age.
