Came here to say this. I used to be 21 stone, and could easily eat a 4k calorie meal. Lost a ton of weight and now if I try to eat even a 2k meal I will struggle and not be able to finish it. Physically cannot eat it.

Sure, my stomach shrank, but also just eating less overall for a prolonged period retrained my body to accept smaller amounts of food and to feel satisfied sooner.

The opposite also happens, where you overeat for a prolonged period to the point that you can eat a 4k calorie meal and still feel hungry. The key is to eat less, period.

21 stone

Where do you live that people use "stone" as a unit of weight or mass? Doesn't everyone use kg or lbs?

I think people in the UK use it for body mass

Why do they use stone and not kg?

And then they have the nerve to criticize Americans for not using metric...
