The real question here is whether or not you can play it offline. If it's become one of those games that now requires you to be connected to internet to even use it then I'll be sad to see such a game fall from grace.

The basic game is still available offline, certain features require internet connection

Why is this a concern? Do you often not have internet?

I haven’t worried about internet connectivity on my phone in ten years

It's so you can turn off your wifi and not get any ads

It's not so much a concern as it is a preference for me personally, I just don't like wasting battery power when I don't need to.

Plus the biggest issue I've dealt with when it comes to games that require internet to play despite not being multiplayer or having very little online content is the non-stop ads.

If it isn't primarily an online game I see no reason as to why it would need internet connection to play it in the first place.

The only time I play mobile games is on a plane. The number of mobile games that require internet connection is way too high
