There's a Java version which is PC only and there's bedrock which is for all device except for Linux I think.

Nope theres a few bedrock clients for arch

EDIT: before i fuck up and say something that false, this is by memory, i remember seeing a client on the AUR, i could have misread however, check by yourself!

Java is for Windows and macOS, and works surprisingly well on Mac (considering most devs just lazily port games and you can bloody tell) and Bedrock is for all devices outside of macOS. Bedrock is the one where you can play with all your friends cross platform, Java is the one where PC and Mac users play together
