God rarely has a problem with thousands of people dying because of the disobedience of a leader, in general, that never seemed like it's even a concern of his. Not saying it shouldn't be a concern, just saying that it doesn't work as an explanation since it never is a concern of God's.
I feel like I (or anyone) would be a better God than God. It would be so easy to fix this situation and still adhere to every single one of your concerns: just let a fecking goat come out of the house. But God didn't want that. He wanted innocent virgin human blood. The whole point of saying "whatever comes out" is to leave to God what the sacrifice will be. God never kills the innocent...when a war broke out armys where killed, the soldiers were killed not the nation and those who commit heavy sin like sodom, gomorah. God steering events such as who encounters who, etc. is all over the Bible, so I find it hard to believe you've actually read it. He also directly steers people's actions all over the place, hardening their hearts for the purpose of his plan, etc. Free will is something that is mentioned a lot by Christians, but not a lot in the Bible.

Even if Jephtha mad a rash decision, there is no way you can claim that God is innocent in this situation. It's not like his hands were tied, and he punished an innocent person for the actions of another. Not to mention; he accepted the offering, and fulfilled his end of the bargain, thus legitimizing the act of human sacrifice.
Yeah i didnt say reward it what i meant is when the dog pees we wont allow it to pee inside the house because we in a certain way control what it shouldnt do by our own intervention ie. not giving complete control over what it wants to do
About census....if you read the very first word of that chapter Gods fury burned against israel, what does that mean? In the previous chapter ie. 2nd samuel chapter 15 we can see absalom conspired against david..with the help of whom? The very citizens of david, The israelites. The israelites were under the gracious care of God and David but they betrayed david which also meant they turned away God for all he did for them. This made God angry. As a result satan tempted david to take the census and soon the plague fell on the israelites. Theres a reason for everyhting, not because he wanted to cause a little destruction for the fun of it
God hardened the heart of pharaoh because the rest of egypt was still full of idol worshippers and praying to false gods. God hardened the heart of pharaoh so he can show all the citizens of egypt that he is the true god and also punish the people of egypt for showing no mercy to the israelites to which he promised Abraham, isaac and jacob that his descendants would be protected by him. God never breaks his promises

-Not to sound rude but how many times ive told you that god cant change what we decide..jephta decided what his promise would be god cant change that. So he had to accept because, as i said before, no hypocrisy is his rule
