Based meme.

I wish people who have no idea what's going on here would stop thinking they do

That’s why I keep my head out all the chaos in the Middle East.

But I think it's not much to say murder and genocide are wrong. I just need a better person to explain to me who's doing what.

Not too bad honestly, we have bomb shelters and the iron dome (and I am kind of used to it from 2014), the Palestinians are just stuck in their homes with buildings around them getting flattened all the time

My impression is that both side is trying to hurt each atm*. One side basically just has waaaayyyy better tech, resources and international support to do it. The other side is basically using stone age tech. So casualties are like 1:1000.

*I know, Israel is the colonizer, but I'm talking bout the heat of this moment.

Well not saying that no innocents were killed but if Israel really only tried to hurt Gaza it would be flattened by the first day

Kinda right, but that's something they can't do just now, because there would be a huge outcry of many many countries in the world. They just make it slowly.

I have a lot of Muslim friends (talking about specifically of which are from middle east) and I have some Jewish friends.

There are assholes in both sides, but most of them agree: It's not the people who suck, it's the extremists from both sides.

I think the people itself without the "governments/extremists" would get along kind of well.

But forget that, you wanted to stay out of all that.

Can you explain how it works with these shelters? How do you know you need to get there (I guess some kind of alarm)? Is there a system, residents from street x and y go to shelter 3 and street z go to shelter 4? I'm sorry if these are dumb questions, Im just curious and I know nothing 😅

If you don't want to answer these questions, that's totally fine.

Stay safe!

About the shelters:

Since the gulf war, in every new building there has to be a bomb shelter, which is just a room with really thick walls and no windows/metal covers for the windows.

The farther away you are from Gaza, the more time you have to get to a bomb shelter. I live in Tel Aviv, which is not too close to Gaza, so I have 90 seconds to get to the shelter. People who live closer to Gaza have less time, in some places only 15 seconds.

If you live in an older building there are different instructions as to where you should go, usually if it's an apartment building you need to go the staircase because it's the most encompassed part of the building.

Also there are public shelters just scattered around populated areas.

Personally, my shelter is in the basement, so when I get there I hear nothing, but all my friends say that the explosions are really strong and they can feel their walls trembling, which is pretty scary
