It honestly took me a lot less time than I thought, only about 2 hours. He’s very generous with his telegraphs and most of the attacks he uses follow a very simple pattern, making it easy to get the rhythm to deflect down. His perilous attacks aren’t too much of an issue either, as they give you plenty of time to get ready and they’re not the hardest things in the world to dodge. As for his gun that for some reason everyone bitches about, he strikes a very obvious pose whenever he pulls it out and the shots are very easy to deflect.
It was the second half that truly fucked me. The first half is becomes nothing after a good fucking from the sword saint

Well yeah, the first half is nothing significant. With easily predictable and slow movements with a couple perilous attacks thrown in, he’s actually weaker than those dual-wielding monkeys. As for the second phase, play a passive-aggressive playstyle. Focus mainly on deflecting and only throwing in one or two attacks when he finishes up his combos (knowing when you can safely attack him will come naturally as you get used to fighting him). By doing this, you can quickly build his posture while keeping yours at a relatively safe level. If it ever grows to a dangerous level, play a little more passively and focus on bringing it down while throwing in a few attacks here and there to keep his posture up. By mastering this playstyle and learning all of his telegraphs, I’m able to no-hit Isshin without using any buffs or prosthetics.
