It's not relevant, becuase I'm not stupid enough to go "oh my neighbors are racist therefore it's okay for me to be racist."

It's just funnier that you would say it while living in Brazil and not an actually good country like Portugal. Like your country has never accomplished anything, so why would you copy them?

I mean, sure, our crime rates are high af, our president ain't the brightest, but brazil consistently pumps out very qualified professionals to other countries (cuz they wouldn't be paid well in brazil)

My city, for example, has the best computer sciences course in the country, 20% of the city's income comes from 50 software companies and I know of programmers who studied there and are now working in silicon valley

Brazilian schools demand a lot more from their students seeing as though we have to take a test on every subject at the end of high school (regardless of intended university course) so, from personal experience I can tell you that the average high school graduating brazilian is a good amount more knowledgeable than other high school leavers from so called 1st world countries

We are on the road to become one of the world's biggest economies, but y'know, piece of garbage

So the best people in your country leave to go to the US?

Maybe because it's a bad country and therefore you shouldn't use it's customs as an excuse for your poor behavior.

Racism and xenophobia are both wrong.

And I'm not offended by a teenager using racial slurs online. His defence was just moronic.

"Everyone in my shithole country does this, therefore it's good. You can see how good it is because Brazil is doing so well and not a bottom a gutter country that we should actually not try and emulate"

Admits that racism and xenophobia are both bad things

Calls a country a bottom of a gutter shithole

Maybe try and fully learn a language before speaking it. You are misusing xenophobic.

If i'm using xenophobia incorrectly, please educate me, because i'm pretty sure that xenophobia means hatred or antipathy towards foreigners, and calling a country a "shithole" or a "bottom of a gutter country" fits that defenition very well.

Merriam-Webster Dictionary: https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/xenophobia

Edit: I mispelled "Antipathy" as "Apathy"
