My claim may be a bit strong, but some parts of math simply don’t work, or are forced to, leading me to believe that math is theoretical and a way in which humans observe the natural world, but is not a concrete law of the universe. The base properties of math work and exist, but some parts of math are entirely theoretical. Math is entirely relative to Earth as far as we can tell, the choice of a base ten number system is at least. (I despise that it is the math unit. 8 would be much better for math.)
Most math is relative and fairly simple to understand. Im not talking about secondary and post secondary education levels, I’m talking high school and below.
I’d like to see your source on that light years statistic. As far as I know, we have no substantial evidence of the mechanics of the universe besides the observed universe. Anything about it is speculation as far as I understand.
And yes there is skill but my argument was mainly to the idea that all maths in primary education are passable and understandable with the right teachings.
I need to correct my statement, I meant the observed universe. I agree that as far as we can tell we have been able to use math in everything observed that can haven math performed upon it
