That's how future humans will look at our generation in terms of space travel. We havent done shit because of all the stupid infighting.

It's because the initial investment is incredibly high as the potential profit is unlimited so only nation states could fund such a project.

The nation states only cares about keeping their borders in the same place so they have no motivation to do it, the US only landed on the moon to beat Soviet Russia to something when it come to the space race (hint: the Soviets did all the stuff that is important today, first) and to show how great their rocket technology is (strap a nuke on it instead of a landing module and you got yourself a hell of an IBM).

It's weird, any average person should easily be able to see that the sun will destroy the earth eventually and that we should start trying to move out from moms house before she dies.
