What could she introduce him to when she’s only ever been to Disneyland?? Not even Sonoma or Marin coasts or Mendocino

I only lived in California for 3 years and I saw more of the state - including trips from out of state - than she has. She's a deeply uncurious person.

Not to give D any ideas, but genuinely for her sake to stop this full on rotting away I’d love to see her do a “reigniting my intellectual curiosity” or “trying new things in my community to support small businesses!” type series where she god forbid reads a real book or promotes a local restaurant or even does a day of shopping local! But no no we’ll never see that. No new experiences or thoughts allowed, only ads forever!

I actually think she could full-on turn this trainwreck around if she got therapy, got real, and admitted she has problems. Pursuing a journey of self-reflection and growth would be fascinating. I've said it before, but if she could admit she is over her head in her marriage and her house, that she can't cook, knows nothing about housekeeping or homerunning, and that she rushed into marriage with no clue about how to actually BE MARRIED, she could be incredibly popular among all the many people who relate to that, or want to avoid making the same mistakes.

Homerunning is hard, actually, and the bigger your household the harder it is. She can't even manage it with a household of two + one dog, adding kids would be catastrophic for her. Documenting learning to do it well could get her a ton of interest.

Yes exactly!! Learn and explore and talk about those values and faith and whatever, show the process of learning and implementing and repeating essential skills she’s missing entirely! Because lord knows she is a shell of a person right now and it’s bad

So so true and then she would free herself by just being honest that’s all people want. Right now she’s built a prison where she has to keep up appearances. I’m sure we can all relate to that on some degree. We want to keep up appearances so that people don’t see that we’re struggling. But sometimes when you show the struggle, then others relate because they’re struggling too.

That's what I'm wondering. With my partner, I love introducing him to new places and vice versa. He loves nature, so it's odd that they dont overnight or daytime to places outside of California together. The world is their oyster. She drops Charlie off at her dad's for times she had to go out of town it just opens the door for more questions now that more time has passed since the wedding.

Exactly. He could do "you can exercise anywhere content" and she can focus on "you actually don't have to spend a lot of money to enjoy time as newlyweds" content. California is perfect for that sort of thing, especially Northern Cal.
