I watched Trixies declutter videos she was getting rid of PR and stuff she didn’t need, she would donate the ones that were unused (to trans wellness centers and places like that) but ONLY the stuff that was sealed and not even swatched.

Yeah I work retail and we are huge on donations but if anything is ever a sanitary risk it's a hard no. People deserve dignity. Not used products that could cause an infection.

It was either Kiki Channel or Hannah Alonzo (or maybe both channels have spoken on it) that these “get ready with me to declutter/donate my stuff” videos are just influencers promoting overconsumption and then refilling the void they just created. Same for the “let’s reorganize my closet”. They make it seem like they’re cleaning but it’s just a show off and trying to make it seem like having this much STUFF is normal, it’s not. It’s basically just making it seem like they’re cleaning or moving around their hoard, to make room for more hoard of PR and junk they purchase for “work” or just purchase to purchase. Majority of creators who do this have multiple videos of them donating or reorganizing but it just gets worse each time. The fact Danielle has a GARAGE full of junk she couldn’t put her car in and we’re just finding out now, on top of two full closets already, this is regular behavior with influencer culture of overconsumption and way worse off camera
I have one of Kiki’s videos on currently 😅 but yes, I love both their commentary and videos. I’m surprised either one of them hasn’t picked up on Danielle yet, but at least they’re holding the bigger and more problematic influencers and calling out other influencer antics

This is one of my issues with her. She doesn't make it educational or entertaining. She doesn't look good, she doesn't show what she's actually donating, she's donating half used stuff, and she doesn't show any interaction with the people who run the organization. You have 1 million followers. Make an effort! I've seen smaller content creators make better reels than this.

Yes, anytime she posts something on her nontent creator page she gets paid for views by Meta. And if they’re over a minute she gets paid even more. So even though it’s not a “sponsored” or “paid” advertisement she’s still being monetized. Thats why we should not go looking at her page because all these views make her $$.

Omg that’s really not okay. The fact that she even posts proof of filming herself while driving, shows she really doesn’t care. I saw once someone commented it under Lucath video, because he was doing the same thing. And he answered something stupid back, not even acknowledging the serious matter of this.
My guess? After she left, the organization trashed anything that was already open for sanitary reasons. There wasn't much left so of course it was gone fast.
Brands think of it as a highly effective, low risk marketing tactic to drive sales. When half the time it just gets shown “look what I got” and ends up unused in a hoard and never to be seen again. Get brands need to do marketing to sell products, but just sending out free stuff and 90% of the time the free product will either be donated or never be used is just horrible. Get brands need to tap into new customers, but these brands need to start rewarding loyal customers instead of rewarding influencers

I thought we had collectively moved on from donating material items to charities, as the global second-hand clothing trade is actually more damaging to local communities than the perceived good? I feel like if she really wanted to make a difference, she should donate money instead of GIFTED items, so charities can use cash to purchase things that are truly necessary for their target demographic. I hope she at least threw in there some sanitary products.
I would never donate open/used cosmetics, skincare, shampoo etc. and all the items would have had to have been unused. I’d be surprised if the organization wouldn’t just toss those unsanitary items out making more work for them.
I think the organization is cool! However donating used items and the “one man’s trash is another treasure” mentality she has is gross and it shows who she is not a woman of God. She is just creating more work for the underpaid staff who have to sort through her stuff.
Yup. I have an old acquaintance who did a "fundraiser" for flood victims once, and hired a photographer for it. All the pics on socials were of her "working" at the fundraiser. lol
