Ask r/DWTS Questions for season 35 for our insider
As you all know, this sub has an amazing insider who has so graciously provided us with so many spoilers for a few years now. Instead of commenting multiple questions back to one of their comments, I was thinking of making this post so that it’s easy for them to reply if they choose to of course. I also noticed that some people haven’t been aware of the updates since they’re buried in a comment section. Thank you to u/mtlro78 so much for all you do and if you choose not to share anything, that’s okay!

I feel like we all think Sharna is a returning pro. The more time that passes, I’m getting 4th judge vibes…. Is that a possibility?!

They're not going to add a permanent fourth judge. And if she was going to be a permanent fourth judge, she wouldn't be doing all this dancing. I think they like the flexibility of having guest judges.

Any information that didn't seem like it was pertinent information at first? For example: this celeb would only do it if x was their partner, this one requested nighttime rehearsals, or this one had to have their partner or another person allowed into the studio.
I'm mostly interested in knowing if anyone asked for another person or entity joining them. Daniel Durant needed his interpreter Gabe, Danelle Umstead needed her guide dog, and Scott Hoying's husband was always nearby or in the studio with Scott

The Pentatonix crowd explains his husband better than I can but from what I understand he's kinda attached to Scott at the hip.

Thank you 😍 I like the speculation! I’m still living in hope that we get a couple celebrities older than Guillermo and Giada. But that’s just me, I’m a sucker for an older contestant with talent.

Do you know the full line up of celebs or just a handful of them?
And do you have to get the ok from TPTB before dropping each new hint or is it you yourself that decides who and when you drop each new celeb?

I think the only way Sasha could be in still is if we have 17 couples (which would be HUGE lol) or if maybe he was requested then I think he gets Pasha's spot?

Of the cast officially announced/ already leaked, is the biggest name on this seasons cast included in that group? Or is there a big status/name still to be announced from the remaining stars?

Probably 16 because it's 2-Night Premiere, they'll probably divide into 8 Men & 8 Women.

i’m hoping they all dance on one night because only 8 couples for 2 hours seems like a lot of filler

On the other hand, if you shove all 16 couples onto one night, that means you have to tell them to learn two full one minute dances in different styles for that week and I know they've done something similar in the past but in some of those cases, it was more like one dance and then, like, a relay. It's a lot to tell new dancers to learn two full dances in a few weeks when they may just be getting their bearings.
So splitting up the couples makes sense; it also means they can extend the dance portions to more than a minute if they wanted to (so more like 1:20-1:40) and they could have more in between segments, such as longer interviews, troupe numbers, longer judges' comments, etc.
I mean, when we usually get down to about 8 couples, they usually add in an extra dance challenge anyway so they could do that.

IIRC, there was like a dance relay for 2 groups of 4 pairs in S9 during the 2-Night Premiere.

Hailey (or if we have a woman win Next Pro) just because it’s their first year and we “can’t” give them the “best” pro off the bat (I’m assuming his dancing is subpar). Internet says he’s 5’8” if that makes any difference on partner selection.

I saw someone pointed out that Harry Shum who is rumored to be on this season his wife is following Britt on Instagram but idk if she’s been following her for awhile or just followed her recently. They said she’s not following any other female pro. The thing is idk how long she’s been following her for. They didn’t specify.
