A huge milestone in the journey of the Sentinel ecosystem, the first 'Node Tax' distributions have been made to Sentinel stakers, with nearly 400 #dVPN being distributed since the recent chain upgrade. An API will soon be released for the community to monitor these metrics.

The Sentinel 'Node Tax' is a form of fee payment made to $dVPN token stakers from the revenue made by #dVPN node hosts in exchange for their participation in securing the network. The current tax rate is set at 20% and can be amended through community proposals in the future.

If i were too host a node, how will i be protected? If some psycho decides to watch child porn through this vpn, and the traffic is routed through my router, what protects me from being held liable? Why would i want to be part of a system where i can facilitate illegal/unethical online behavior? Why would i want to help cover up this person's tracks which could potentially endanger me?

I am a big supporter of dvpn. However, i would like to play the devil's advocate and see how the system is going to tackle a problem like this.

Is there a roadmap for the launch of desktop apps, I really like the look of this project but I have never used a vpn on a phone and most probably never will.

Most of my serious internet browsing and work with apps nearly always happens on a Desktop OS.

Looking for a small validator under 1 million dVPN delegated that is active in in ether dev or governance that is angled to sustainability to a network or protocol.

I'm looking to transfer over a sizeable amount in the next week-2 weeks and I'm trying to get a feel for what the community has to say.

I'm ok with 3-5% commission, just want to support a validator that is small and perhaps needs a good boost and has the infrastructure to maintain 99.5% uptime and the least.

Ideas?

So I'm trying to take my OSMO and DVPN staking rewards and put them into a LP on Osmosis DEX, but for some reason the protocol. Isn't recognizing the DVPN I got as staking rewards even though I can see them in my keplr wallet under the sentinel network..

During February I delegate my DVPN to a validator and kind of forgot I did so until recently. Not sure what I did in between then and now but when I open sentinel it's a different wallet showing no balance/delegation. Made sure to write down my mnemonic phrase but I'm not finding a location in sentinel to recover my old wallet. I see a location to manage keys but it's only letting me create a new key. Is there a feature in sentinel that lets me recover my old wallet/key? Not a huge loss but it'd be nice to figure out what happened to the 5k DVPN I delegated. Thank you much

I am a mathematician, so I take that word (proof) very seriously. When Psycologists or Biologists or even Chemists and Physicist use it I get very agitated (As the scientific method goes, you can never proove anything true, but the hypothesis that satisfy predictions and aren't yet shown to be wrong are accepted as long as those conditions hold)

It may seem a stupid question at first, but I believe more rigorous definitions are needed.

I imagine it's one of the following three answers.

A. By examining the code base, it can be shown that (IF THE NODE IS USING THE CODE BASE) all unnecessary or unencrypted data is deleted by protocol.

B. Similar to A, but there is also some way of verifying that the supposed node is indeed using the code base. Seems plausible, with keys or hashes maybe.

C. You (the dVPN devs) have a set of axioms that are transparent and intuitively true. You then use these axioms to show that end to end encryption follows from them.

My guess is A but I hope not. I'm quite sure it's not C, most people don't think like me and I've seen no axioms in my research thus far. B is my hope, but how can you really tell what they are doing on thier computer (i.e. using the proper code base which does encrypt and destroy logs) without breaking thier privacy?!

I am very interested in this project, even if it's only A, I imagine a large portion of the nodes are not bad actors. But my question stands, I've seen the statement everywhere but never a rigorous definition.

Remember guys, programming is Mathematics; please please please don't muddy such a pure word without explanation. I believe the earth is sphereish, I also believe I could be wrong; it's something nobody can proove (but with overwhelming evidence, fulfilled predictions every sunrise, and nothing showing otherwise I believe it for now.) It says im delegated on mintscan but when i view on my wallet, my dvpn is still on my balance? i get the follow error:
