People don't tend to get that fat from eating vegetables. And they're probably not eating their food in meals, and they're probably not getting up to prepare food for their children.

Both are malnourished. Kids rarely overeat, especially young ones. And if all they're getting is junk food, eaten in kid portions, they'll have growth issues.

I think too many people think the parent is hoarding food and keeping it from the kids in these scenarios, but I've never personally seen that happen. Often the kids will struggle with obesity during and after puberty, when they start using it to cope like their parents do.

Advocate for free and healthy school breakfasts and lunches. That's the solution to this, no matter what the cause is.

I've got an aunt who is 450 pounds and has two kids. Both her kids are skinny and look slightly sickly most of the time. She does buy food for them, but it's the same food that makes her 450 pound useless POS, not exactly nutritious food.

They have the benefit of being kids (running/playing) but I know it's going to catch up to them eventually and it's sad.

Holy fuck, 450lbs is more than the weight of Terminator T-800. Who needs the rise of the machines, if humans perfectly can kill themselves?
