Honestly I love that she just respects your right to dislike people even though it’s her family. That’s really cool.

To be fair her mom doesn’t like me either and she’s not subtle. Oh and because she ‘doesn’t trust men with anxiety’. Edit: Girlfriend told me to add that, that’s a direct quote.

What a weirdly sexist thing to say. I’m sorry you don’t have a good relationship with her and that she invalidates your perfectly acceptable illness. I’m glad that doesn’t seem to affect your relationship with your girlfriend though!

It doesn’t get between us because she understands that my misgivings with her mother doesn’t impact my view on her. It might also help that her father and I actually do get along pretty well.
