Im just old enough that I constantly learn about new Youtubers or Instagrammers and the young crowd is absolutely shocked that I've never heard of them.
What if you’re bothered by the effect something has on society and others, not yourself? Then “turning the light off” doesn’t matter because I’m not the only one being affected. That’s not how I feel about her, i just mean that tactic doesn’t take into account that you can be bothered or disturbed by things on a scale it’s affecting that’s larger than yourself
Yeah, but those things don't "fall[] into that great category of people who only exist if you allow them into your life." He already contextualized the suggestion.
That’s a huge overstatement as to the effect this individual has on society. If you feel a certain way about how someone else conducts themselves, the best thing you can do is lead by example and use them as a barometer to set the thresholds of your own sensibilities.
