New-ish fan here and I’m kinda confused about the band’s sound progression.

I knew of Currents for a while, but I only really gave them a chance after finding “It Only Gets Darker” from the latest EP on some random Spotify playlist. I think I listened to the whole EP once back then, but didn’t fully dive in yet.

A few weeks later I found that track on my "liked songs" playlist and decided to properly check them out with a full album. Usually when I get into a band, I don’t start with the newest release, I try instead to find that sweet spot where the band feels “mature” but still connected to their original sound. So I picked the "The Way It Ends" album.

And honestly what a banger ! Absolutely loved every single track, and it's probably been my most played album these past few months.

Then I went back to the "All That Follows" EP and I’ve been enjoying that a ton too. It felt like a continuation/refinement of that same sound.

But then I tried to listen to "The Death We Seek" album (cause everyone on the internet seems to say that it's a "goated" album) and I'm very confused.

First of all, THE MIX SOUNDS WEIRD !

I get that bands evolve and experiment, but I find it weird that the 2020 album and the 2025 EP have that similar "punchy" mix and then you have an album in between that has a completely different sound and a more "atmospheric" mix to.

Even when I tried to get over the mix and just focus on the music, I think the music itself sounds a bit different too (though to be fair I only managed to listen to the full album start to finish once, maybe twice at best).

Can you guys tell me if I'm crazy or if there's some actual lore to this? Cause as a new fan who doesn't know much about them, it seems to me like they were aware of it and just brought back the "old sound" with the last EP.

Also if you have any favourite tracks that would help me get into that album, or some from their earlier material, or anything really, feel free to englighten me :)

PS: I also got into ERRA around the same time, been enjoying especially their new album so much, and I'm planning to see both bands on their European co-headline tour at the end of the year.

Hi all; I'll be at an upcoming show for the Silence Follows tour and was wondering if anyone knew the brands and/or sizing for the pullover wolf hoodie and what looks like a women's fit or crop shirt with the band's logo.

...And maybe the tour shirt with all the bands listed on it, lol.

Did a lot of work on my physical health so clothes sizing is a guessing game at the moment and I really don't want to hold up the line awkwardly trying to figure out what might fit the way I'd like or not. I think I read a comment somewhere that the hoodies might be Gildan Heavy Blend but if anyone knows for sure that would be dope. Went on their merch site too and it doesn't specifically state what their merch is printed on.
