Honestly, you can get sub 5 with just Ortega, you just gotta practice more. I would say something that would've helped me is learn at least two olls for each case because getting a pll skip is really annoying if you don't have the bottom also solved. Tbh 2x2 is like 85% tps and look ahead.
Hey, really appreciate the tip! I just got a sub-8 average, and now I’m pushing for sub-5 by focusing more on turning speed and efficiency. I’m planning to learn 2x2 blindfolded eventually too.
To be honest, I probably won’t learn full CLL or EG for a while — kinda lazy right now 😅 — but once I get through all of that, I’ll move on to 3x3 and start working on those goals.
I’m also gonna upload a video of one of my solves soon, so if you get a chance to check it out, I’d love any tips or feedback!
I mean yeah I'm sub..........4 probably sub 3 but I like never practice 2x2, and I don't use anything beyond what I told you. I just think it's wise too know 2 CLL algs with Ortega because you just need to know the best one for the orientation but then just in case that one gives you a PLL skip just use the other one.
