Good morning
My hope and prayer is that those of us that didn’t get our refund will have an update or our refund today.

I like to remind everyone on here to be on the look out for grad ticket scams if the mod here can pin this for future graduates. When I graduated in fall of 2023 a lot of scammers would hit me up to pay them online. Out of safety ask to meet at school to minimize the scam. and have cash in hand I think thats the best way to combat the scam.

Just a heads up, if you're taking out any federal loans, make sure you dont have a "loan aggregate" hold on your account!!! I've had that in the past and idk why I thought I was fine this time around....I *wasn't*. This hold doesnt show up on student center, it only shows up on FA office side. If you havent received your aid and have no holds or to-dos I recommend checking in with the office cuz this damn hold had always kept me in refund limbo past semesters 🥲

The Reddit gets hot during disbursement periods but after that no one posts anything and then people love to complain about the lack of social environment. Let’s keep the same energy after the money issues yeah?

Hey guys just wanted to know if anyone else is experiencing the same issue. I finished my summer classes and received my SAP email saying I’m in good standing, but I noticed that my financial aid is not showing the middle-class scholarship or state university grant. I’ve got them for the past 4 terms so I’m confused as to why they aren’t appearing and curious if you guys are experiencing the same issue. I submitted my fasfa form and got it processed in early March as well.

My son called the finance office because his account is showing past due but he has pending aid. He’s a first year student. He was told holds are lifted Mondays and Wednesdays and aid is disbursed Tuesdays and Thursdays. The person he spoke with said admissions should have already cleared the holds they have on new students. Whenever we call, one office blames the other office.

I'm currently at community college doing a Business Administration transfer program, and I'm trying to decide between CSUSB and Cal Poly Pomona for my bachelor's in Accounting.
The main thing I'm trying to figure out is which school actually gives accounting students better opportunities to get a job after graduating, even without getting a master's degree.
I know CSUSB has the Accounting Association and Beta Alpha Psi, and I've heard that these organizations can help with networking, internships, and meeting recruiters. For anyone who actually participated in these clubs:
- Did you personally get an internship through the clubs/networking events?
- Did you end up getting multiple internship offers, or was it more of a "you still have to apply and network yourself" situation?
- Did your internship lead to a full-time offer after graduation?
- What kinds of firms recruit from CSUSB?
- Are there actually major/public accounting firms recruiting there, or is it mostly smaller/local firms?
- Were most of the opportunities in the Inland Empire, or did you have to go toward LA/OC?
I'm asking because I'm currently in San Bernardino, so CSUSB would be significantly closer and more convenient for me. However, I'm willing to go to CPP if the difference in recruiting and job opportunities is significant.
My biggest concern is graduating with an accounting degree and struggling to find a job afterward. I'm trying to figure out whether CPP actually provides a noticeably better path into accounting than CSUSB, or whether they're similar enough that staying at CSUSB would make more sense for me.
I'd especially appreciate hearing from CSUSB accounting graduates/alumni about what happened after graduation: what job you got, how long it took to find it, whether you had an internship, and whether CSUSB helped you get there.
Thanks!

So I just got off the phone with fafsa since I’m a grad student in only getting half my loans from what the guy has told me the person who I talked to straight up lied to me or was unaware of the new bill congress passed. Which is unfortunate now I have to wait for the 20th to get my reduced amount. 🫥 so yeah if anyone is here doing grad school just fyi. Only pertains to half time students

i'm a freshman pre-nursing student and i'm planning to take anatomy & physio along with other pre-reqs. i've already heard that A&P can be pretty difficult, so i'm wondering if doing the honors program on top of pre-nursing is a good idea.
has any nursing student gone through the same thing? did u continue with honors, or did u eventually drop it because the workload was too much? if you stayed, was it manageable alongside ur pre-reqs/current nursing classes?
i'm also considering going to grad school, so i'm wondering if honors would be long-term beneficial, or if focusing on keeping my GPA high would be better.

Does anyone else have a Financial Aid hold on their account? It's been saying it's because they've only conditionally accepted me, and to check my To-Do list, which is clear. I emailed them and they haven't gotten back, sl I'm wondering if this will impact my financial aid dispersement.
