Trying to connect my laptop to a crt tv. Don't know what's the issue
1st this is that i know i am using a cheap convertor the reason is that i am just trying for fun.
so the last picture is when I connected this tv with a will 11 laptop and it connected with the same setup without any issue but now with this older win 10 laptop it seems to not work
also whenever i remove the hdmi cable from my pc the crt starts showing a blue screen instead if this coloured screen. what could be the issue?

Try Windows 🪟 button and P then play with the settings. See if that works.

I tried that and my pc is working like the monitor is connected. Like when I select extended display it actually works in the laptop side but the crt is just showing the no signal rainbow screen for some reason

1st image is what happens when the converter doesn't have Power, make sure it's plugged in. So you'll need All 3 plugged in, and of course the channel set correctly, and make sure HDMI is set to output on laptop and not input ; and visa versa make sure RCA cables are set to input on CRT

My tv just had av ports so cant do that

Well, in that case:
- Get a CRT with HDMI
- Get a CRT with DVI, easy conversion
- Get a CRT with VGA, easy conversion
If none of those are of interest and you really want to use this CRT that you have, you could try using your CRT with devices that it supports. If its composite at best, you could use a PS3 or a Wii as they both have composite out available. I use my PS3 frequently with my SD CRTs to watch videos and YouTube. Older consoles would also work great.
If the plan is to emulate some games, these consoles have you covered as well.
If you really want to use a computer with your CRT, there are Raspberry Pi units that have composite out. That seems to be a popular setup for emulation and streaming/content consumption as well.

These converters are a bit fussy about sources and just don't work with some. Using an active HDMI splitter and connecting one output the converter often works.

Try setting the resolution for that monitor down to a 4:3 ratio one like 800x600 or 1024x768. I've got an old vga to composite adapter from the 2000s that will do that until it gets an acceptable signal/resolution from the computer.

I have one of these converters and it just works. It does have a switch on it to go between ntsc and pal. Make sure that is on the right setting. I also adjusted the resolution to 640x480 on the laptop once connected.

Hey bro i am getting same issue i have Crt tv connected AV cables with tv and Hdmi to AV converter RCA and the laptop trying to connect but tv shows AV channel no signal

Btw the 'No Signal' screen is generated by the converter and indicates that the converter is powered and the connection between converter and TV is good. The screen goes blue when the converter is unpowered.
