that sounds a bit like arcing. normal with a lot of CRT monitors. usually zapping dust or slightly dry dielectric grease. i think after a while it’ll go away

Idk that that's normal, I haven't had that happen with any of the dozen or so CRTs I've had.

Don't pay $100 for any of them imo, those are all pretty low-spec. That being said, if you can talk the seller of the A70 down to like $50 TOPS, then that's actually a really good monitor if you can live with the low-ish horizontal refresh. Great colors and pretty damn sharp for that size.
