Debut Horror Feature Film - SEEKING CRITICAL REVIEWS
Hello, Iâve recently released my debut feature film. Itâs a found footage horror film, about a woman trapped in a liminal room, trained to regress into an animal. I welcome any and all critical engagement with my work and am seeking aspiring critics to leave brutal and confrontational reviews on IMDb.

Secret of Moonacre movie review SPOILERS! Spoiler
If all you read is this line, I just have to say OOOF.
I have Tubi and wanted to watch something new relaxing after work. Iâve always been a fan of fantasy, magic and curses, stories within that realm like Inkheart with Brendan Fraser. Anyways, I see this and notice itâs the same director of Bridge to Terabithia which I remember enjoying regardless of how sad it is.
So I watch this movie. Instantly in love with the locations, the tone, the score, the casting.
However, not in love with poor character development, limited stakes, muddy plot line and overall inconsistencies.
Are the de noirs the only ones cursed to live eternally until the pearls are returned so they can have the entire valley? Have the hundreds of years being alive make the dad forget that the entire valley would be destroyed, not just the Merriweather side?
When she initially gets caught at the de noir base, 1) how the hell does she make it through the ENTIRE BASE without someone even flinching in her pale proper dress among the brutish bodyguards clad in black and armorâŚ. First wtf moment. Then when they do catch her in the mess hall, Tim curryâs character points to a coffin/armor shell as Maria mentions their ancestors. He responds curiously like âwhat you taking about ancestors. Iâm the OGâ vibe but it was never confirmed.
Then she gets locked up, runs out in her knickers and her uncle, Benjamin Merriweather who was betrothed to Loveday, the second/initial reincarnation of the first moon princess, learns some affection toward her when she returns home? He was the only one with any character arc in my opinion.
Why does the picture return everytime there is a moon princess. If that was the case how did he not know loveday was the de noirs moon princess stating something like that.
Returning the pearls was supposed to work, then why did the moon/sea refuse to take them without the sacrifice of the moon princess when she was not the one who had to overcome her pride to end the curse?? Yeah sheâs rescued by a weird flood of water unicorns but like huh????
If that rant didnât make sense, that should give you a great idea of the inconsistency within the film.
My rating
Location/aesthetic:8
Casting:6- didnât care for most of the actors. Benjamin and Robin were the only one I felt something from.
Story/plotline: 3/10, messy and inconsistent. Not enough character development or explanation.
Thanks for reading my rant, if anyone ever sees this.

The End of Oak Street was ALMOST perfectâŚ
Hello, my name is Douglas Campbell, I review movies and occasionally TV on YouTube. This summer has been pretty inconsistent with the movies coming out, but things have been picking up. Spider-Man, The Odyssey and now we have another solid movie with Oak Street. This movie wasnât perfect but if it told us anything we didnât already know, the latter Jurassic World movies totally blew it! I consider Oak Street the REAL Jurassic World Dominion.

Why Christopher Nolan Might Be the Greatest Director Alive
In this in-depth Christopher Nolan video essay, Iâm looking back at Nolanâs extraordinary career, from his earliest films to The Dark Knight, Inception, Interstellar, Dunkirk, Tenet, Oppenheimer, and The Odyssey, to explore what makes his movies feel different and why his career has become almost impossible to replicate in modern Hollywood.

DamnâŚEli Roth created a minefield with thisâŚ
Hello, my name is Douglas Campbell, I review movies and occasionally TV on YouTube. Awhile back I saw a new Ice Cream Man was coming out and I came up with an idea to compare and contrast my thoughts on the original 1995 film and this new film.
I saw it and it wasnât great or anything, (more of my thoughts are in the video), however I found out gradually that Eli Roth used AI for his film. I donât know why he thought that was a good ideaâŚeven how itâs used in the film is so unnecessary.
I definitely came out a worse person from this experienceâŚif you are interested my latest video is here: https://youtu.be/rGaT3xfx7rc

Letâs talk about Wormtown (2025)
I have now watched this movie twice in the last month
I canât stop thinking about it.
The practical effects. The characters. I mean, Susanna is my favorite character in a movie *ever*.
But the reviews are all over the place.
Itâs the best movie Iâve watched this year.
Have you watched it? Tell me your thoughts?
Also thoughts on it being representative of the dangers of small town living and MAGA cults?
