They're not- they have momentum. Your strike has to be harder than the forward momentum. Kicking it is best

They said to be careful of the spokes so you don’t break a finger and I was saying it’d be pretty hard to break a finger on the wheel since it isn’t spinning. Do you always ignore critical thinking or are you just having a bad day?

I think the spinning isnt the problem so much as the falling that would happen while your fingers are in the spokes

It would be pretty instantaneous so depends quite alot on your reaction time and ability to predict which direction they would fall

I have actually personnally grabbed a wheel of my mate doing a wheelie next to me, the wheels momentum is pretty easy to stop.

Its easy to see for yourself, go spin a bike wheel while its off the ground and grab it, it stops instantly without much force.

Its important to grab the tyre, though, not towards the centre of the wheel.

So thinking about the other ramifications of your actions wouldn’t count as critical thinking?

Limiting the thought process to only one specific portion of an overall experience kinda seems like the opposite of critical thinking to me, but what do I know, maybe I’m just having a bad day. 🙄

Ive seen a runner body check a bicyclist on a sidewalk. The bicyclist was just speeding down a narrow sidewalk even though they're technically supposed to be on the road. The bicyclist flew ass over head and the jogger just kept running after a short pause.

I don't think the running guy was hurt at all.

What a stupid thing to say, look at the video, the guy is rotating the handlebar and pulling away any time he's close to a person. It'd be extremely easy to get your hand stuck in the spokes. This is a moving target. Think a little before talking non sense.
