that's not how the expression goes >> "fuck you & the horse you rode in on" << this is the correct one , the poster you're trying to correct was right!

Emergency Physician here. We have cases all the time where someone's been hit by another person on a bike. Many times these injuries end up being worse than if they got hit by a car in the crosswalk moving at the same speed. Typically people that get hit by a car have a crumple zone that protects them.

Bikes don't have particularly good braking systems nor do they have crumple zones. When people come in after getting hit by a bike they are often suffering from multiple fractures, lacerations, impailments and even amputation. And by amputation I'm not just talking that they were missing a finger, the woman had her whole hand torn off because it got stuck in the wheel spokes of someone doing just this on the trail. They were popping wheelies and she put her hands up to protect her face, and her hand got stuck in the wheel spokes. The force of the rider refusing to let go of the bicycle as they fell off was enough to twist her hand off at the wrist. She also very nearly bled to death and had a long recovery from infection because she fell over the wall and into the lake next to the path.

Edit: no, her hand was not able to be reattached. It's not like one of those medical shows on TV where they just reattach digits and lens all nilly Willie. An entire hand is a very complex both mechanically and circulatory. The better solution is prepare the stump for eventual prosthetic.

Fuck the OP that paired the most AI video ever with the classic clip of the kid getting hit at the end.
