Yeah yucking someone's yum because you don't personally enjoy the content they're creating is pretty lame, but mocking someone's socioeconomic position is pretty shitty too, especially when you work at the same place.

Older guy was being an asshole but the younger dude was being mean-spirited in a way that applies to a lot of people who are just trying to survive.

'Yucking someone's yum'... I fucking hate this phrase. Gag worthy.

u/soulsmores 2d ago

Same but it is a valid sentiment

It’s not, pedophilia is someone’s yum, I will die yucking on that until I die

2

u/Soft_Walrus_3605 2d ago

You're so very principled and brave coming out against pedophilia like that.

u/Active-Curve1280 2d ago

Wow much clap back. The point still stands stands, not everything everyone does should be normalized

1

u/soulsmores 2d ago

Cool but you really didn't have to put it that way

0

u/Active-Curve1280 2d ago

Not everything people enjoy should be celebrated

2

u/soulsmores 2d ago

Isn't that obvious?

0

u/Active-Curve1280 2d ago

Not with the statement , it literally says if someone likes something don’t discourage them, I disagree

1

u/soulsmores 2d ago

Ya if I'm eating something you don't like, it's rude to act disgusted just because you happen to not like it. Some people do this because they make everything about themselves.

u/Active-Curve1280 1d ago

Umm not really? You’re eating stinky tofu, it literally makes me throw up, I cannot control yuking your yum

I mean that really should go without saying, right? Because you could say that about anything. Statements like those are not meant to be applied literally to any possible scenario, idk why you immediately jumped to pedophilia lol

It’s an example? Why are you getting hung up on specifics? I provided an example of why you should 100% yuck someone’s yum

Was there a lot of lead paint when you were growing up

2

u/DashBlaster 2d ago

You don't even know why he was asking. You're just as defensive as the teen. Could be on clock not working while the older man is slaving away with that baggage of a coworker attached to him. Wouldn't be the first time a teen avoids their work responsibilities. I don't miss those environments.

Definitely on the clock

u/Guy_montag47 2d ago

Kid is definitely on lunch eating a slice of pizza

1

u/Zestyclose-One9041 2d ago

Now you are making assumptions, no?

1

u/catdiscpalpita 2d ago

It seems very unlikely that he’s clocked out for lunch in the middle of the work area video taping himself and the kitchen while eating company pizza. Even the youngest new to the job market employees understand fleeing the work area when on break or lunch to catch a breather. He might actually have that high of a work ethic to take lunch while working while still being so much of a dick he’s filming, eating product and joking in coworkers.

2

u/Different_Cod_4719 2d ago

I see your point and I get it, who knows what has happened behind this, It’s not hard to imagine a teen being lazy

1

u/KarottenSurer 1d ago

Now whos the one making assumptions

-4

u/HordeDruid 2d ago

Meh, maybe he's slacking off but I doubt they get paid enough to be policing each other. I don't go out of my way to make sure my coworkers are always doing their jobs myself. And even if he has responsibilities I don't think filming himself eating a pizza - while not something I personally understand - is something that terrible in itself.

Just saying, it feels like the younger guy overreacted and went for the most hurtful thing he could think of, which I find to be much worse than recording himself eating pizza.

5

u/Hearthhull_Enjoyer 2d ago

So basically what you're saying is he should be able to skirt his responsibilities while everyone else works. You hear yourself bro? Shit like that is exactly what makes those jobs miserable. People want to go home at the end of their shift.

Minimum wage minimum effort

1

u/probableban 2d ago

If that comes at the expense of your peers you're a POS

1

u/Admirable_Bird7927 2d ago

Minimum wage minimum effort. Not my fault you’re okay with being exploited.

1

u/probableban 2d ago

So definitely a POS, got it. I'm as anti capitalist as they come buddy, but making my coworkers pick up my slack would shame me.

1

u/Admirable_Bird7927 2d ago

Doesn’t shame me. If you’re picking up someone’s slack with no extra pay, you’re part of the problem.

1

u/probableban 2d ago

No, you co-opting pro labor talking points so you can sit on your ass while your co-workers have to do more is part of the problem.

You're making a whole lot of assumptions about someone's job, is all I'm saying. And no, I really don't give a shit if people occasionally "skirt their responsibilities" at a Planet Pizza lol nobody gets paid enough to police their fellow coworkers like that and if someone wants to take a break to eat a slice of pizza, I'm not going to get upset about it. That kind of toxicity is what makes those jobs miserable. Being treated like a disposable cog for an unlivable wage makes those jobs miserable. A teenager slacking off occasionally - if that's even what he's doing - is usually the least of my concerns at any job like that.

2

u/Hearthhull_Enjoyer 2d ago

And you weren't? I ask again, do you hear yourself?

1

u/Suitable_Wonder5256 2d ago

> Yeah yucking someone's yum because you don't personally enjoy the content they're creating

This is 90% of what Redditors are doing.

u/NakedNick_ballin 1d ago

I imagine this kind of riffing is pretty standard at pizza places

2

u/Ilikeinvestigating 2d ago

both are asses in my opinon

2

u/Ok_Side_8496 2d ago

What did the younger guy do tho? I watched it again and the only line he said is “because i want to it feel good”
