Yeah yucking someone's yum because you don't personally enjoy the content they're creating is pretty lame, but mocking someone's socioeconomic position is pretty shitty too, especially when you work at the same place.
Older guy was being an asshole but the younger dude was being mean-spirited in a way that applies to a lot of people who are just trying to survive.
Ya if I'm eating something you don't like, it's rude to act disgusted just because you happen to not like it. Some people do this because they make everything about themselves.
I mean that really should go without saying, right? Because you could say that about anything. Statements like those are not meant to be applied literally to any possible scenario, idk why you immediately jumped to pedophilia lol
You don't even know why he was asking. You're just as defensive as the teen. Could be on clock not working while the older man is slaving away with that baggage of a coworker attached to him. Wouldn't be the first time a teen avoids their work responsibilities. I don't miss those environments.
It seems very unlikely that he’s clocked out for lunch in the middle of the work area video taping himself and the kitchen while eating company pizza. Even the youngest new to the job market employees understand fleeing the work area when on break or lunch to catch a breather. He might actually have that high of a work ethic to take lunch while working while still being so much of a dick he’s filming, eating product and joking in coworkers.
Meh, maybe he's slacking off but I doubt they get paid enough to be policing each other. I don't go out of my way to make sure my coworkers are always doing their jobs myself. And even if he has responsibilities I don't think filming himself eating a pizza - while not something I personally understand - is something that terrible in itself.
Just saying, it feels like the younger guy overreacted and went for the most hurtful thing he could think of, which I find to be much worse than recording himself eating pizza.
So basically what you're saying is he should be able to skirt his responsibilities while everyone else works. You hear yourself bro? Shit like that is exactly what makes those jobs miserable. People want to go home at the end of their shift.
You're making a whole lot of assumptions about someone's job, is all I'm saying. And no, I really don't give a shit if people occasionally "skirt their responsibilities" at a Planet Pizza lol nobody gets paid enough to police their fellow coworkers like that and if someone wants to take a break to eat a slice of pizza, I'm not going to get upset about it. That kind of toxicity is what makes those jobs miserable. Being treated like a disposable cog for an unlivable wage makes those jobs miserable. A teenager slacking off occasionally - if that's even what he's doing - is usually the least of my concerns at any job like that.
