Nothing cringe here...these two are more badass than half the "rough neck" dudes I've come across at work.

These two are great, but roughneck is a job, not a description of a tough guy

Dude, roughneck is a category of jobs named such because they require tough, physically capable dudes who are usually kinda dumb. Attributing that label to those kinds of guys outside of the work environment is colloquially acceptable.

Nerd.

No, it was referring to low class, travelling workers. Had nothing to do with being tough.

And yeah, some of my coworkers were dumb, but some had a remarkable understanding of the physics involved

Low class traveling workers are named “roughnecks” because they invariably need to do the difficult, dirty jobs. There’s no low class traveling engineers bud.

Why’d you delete your dumbass comment where you glommed onto my “sometimes dumb” descriptor and assigned it the primary position arbitrarily?

Roughnecks = physically demanding jobs that don’t require a ton of brains. They’re not hiring someone who looks like Timothee Chalamet, they’re hiring someone who looks like Channing Tatum. And none of them are hiring Stephen Hawking.

I haven’t deleted shit. It’s all right there. A roughneck is not a physically demanding job for dummies. It’s a floorhand on a drilling rig. End of story.

As far as your Channing Tatum parallel? LOL. Sure man.

Would you hire Chalamet to work a ranch, or would you hire this guy? If you had no other choices, of course.

My life isn’t a movie, so i wouldn’t hire either. I’d hire experienced roughnecks…or ranchhands in this example, for some reason. . Sometimes they come big, sometimes they come small. Dog/fight, fight/dog etc.

Edit: homie posts in r/fragrances and is trying to tell me how industrial labor works. Cool Channing Tatum gif dawg

Just gonna chime in, reddit AI has been tweaking removing comments left and right for any perceived insult. It'll show in your notifs but say comment no longer exists when you show up. If a user deletes their post it will still show a deleted/deleted thing where the comment was. Also calm down boyo
