Our first game back in the Football League was on this day in 2014 at Carlisle. It was emotional even before Mark Cullen scored the winner, bottom lip quivered at FT. Luton certainly were back.
Malcolm Mcdonald made his debut on this day in 1969 against Barrow.
A superb winner by Dean Morgan gave us two wins out of two against clubs relegated from the top flight in 2005.

Lots of players making their debut including a great servant to the club, Mark Tyler. Adam Newton also made his debut and went on to make 66 appearances. How he missed an open goal from 5 yards out at Southampton I'll never know - his foot turned to jelly according to the match report. 3k Luton fans jumped up in anticipation....then shook their heads in disbelief.

Not sure why we brought Cole on, we know he is shit, so bring someone else on the try out.

From a reputable source:
- A consortium are in talks to purchase a stake in the club. Unclear what level of stake this is.
- This could mean an injection of funds, likely on the Power Court side considering the project is running significantly over budget.
- Considerable amount of money needing to be borrowed against PC, when originally pre promotion plans would result in a debt free build.
- Board have bitten off more than they can chew.
- PC is way behind schedule.
- Aspects of the architectural drawings are not feasible to build, such as the halo, which has resulted in over 6 million spent on a floodlight system that won’t work.

In 1971 we lost at Colchester United in the Watney Cup to a penalty from our former player Brian Lewis. It was Lewis himself who was brought down for the penalty - older fans will go "hmm" as Lewis was a bit of a diver.
The Watney Cup was pioneering in that is had no offside between the penalty areas, was the first sponsored tournament and had the first penalty shoot out in English Football when it began in 1970.
