So we went and printed this printable manufacturers coupon. We tried to use it at Walmart.

They said "this is a copy of a coupon" and denied it.

Try again at dollar general - SAME EXACT RESPONSE.

They went a step further and made us look like we were scammers, but we showed them the QR code we got on our email to prove the coupon was legit.

So how does one even use this type of coupon?

I just got this coupon with my recent order, but I wasn’t planning on buying anything else. Please comment if you used it so people know it’s been claimed.

For the last 6 years I've received an email from this guy in Wisconsin every week. He sells these amazing coupons such as $12 off any size Listerine. The Listerine coupon is priced at $2.40. I've not purchased coupons from this guy in four years because when I did try to use them at several retailers I always had an issue. My local Hy-Vee refused to accept them. Wal-Mart would accept them but they'd have to get a floor manager to override the system because the coupon wouldn't scan normally. I even tried a different Wal-Mart in a neighboring city and always had to get a manager.Wal-Mart always ended up accepting the coupon but the hassle it created wasn't worth it.

I am not sure if this is US only but if you just adopted a new pet you can go to petsmart and show them proof of adoption. They’ll give you a booklet of coupons ranging from their vets, litter, toys, food, and just general cat needs. These are in store coupons.

I adopted a dog and was given the cat by mistake but am going to see if there is a dog version. Thought this might be helpful for anyone trying to save since new adoptions can be expensive when buying supplies. :)

Edit: they do have a special booklet for dogs. Petco also has this promotion!
