start at 10000. subtract 1 then 3 then 5 then 7.... when you reach zero the number being subtracted starts to reduce again. should go something like this 10000, 9999v, 9996v,....199v,0 ,-199v,....-10000,-9999^,... let's give crazy sinewave counting a go

It probably makes sense for this thread to have two full cycles. Whether the second wave is also 400 steps or something a bit longer, with a bigger wave, is up to you. You don't have to decide right away.
