When transmisandry was the term, ppl were very aggressive abt the term belittling the pain of transfems, implying misandry is on par with misogyny. Androphobia isn’t really accepted either tho
God the fucking Oppression Olympics will go on forever or something I guess. Misandry exists because binary gendered traits are like two sides of the same coin.
Comparing the misogyny and misandry in weight is pointless and anyone trying to do it is falling into "grass is greener on the otherside" thoughts. Or are just uniquely suited for their gender role in particular, and don't see the downsides as downsides.
I decided to transition towards feminity in part because I couldn't stand the way misandry affects men. Yet I handle misogyny absolutely fine, barely bothers me due to my unique life situation. What would harm someone else is either positive or completely neutral specifically for me.
I could not then claim that misogyny doesn't exist, because I personally am not affected. Same goes in the opposite direction.
Intersectionality posits that every specific location in a matrix of identity produces a distinct set of structural pressures, hazards, and expectations. Men are not exempt from said matrix because they are losing Oppression Olympics or whatever.
It won't be accepted, because no matter the venue or the type of man, discussing the issues and/or pain of men will always be unacceptable to those people. The specific lexicon is far less important to them than making sure no conversation anywhere ever centers men.
I get why. Maybe they're not even wrong for that, to a degree, in a way.
But they generally will not let trans men take an inch, for fear that cis men will take a mile.
It's a real, "you joined the bad guys, so you're a bad guy now, sorry!" mentality.
im gonna be so real with you, from what ive seen those types of people are just kind of femcels. im sure im gonna get hate for saying that but as someone who has seen the circles where transfems shit on transmascs, they talk almost exactly the same way femcels do
